The first day in the old town of Hyderabad ( 6 July)

Hyderabad, the begninning of my big dream. y internship is going perfectly fine and the people are amazing. Every day is a new experience, life here is incredibly interesting and could be very challenging.

Indian people are original, they have their own style and they succeed on bringing modernity tino their lives without forgetting their traditions. I see young people wearing their traditional clothes and underneath they wear their jeans. Especially women are quite sucessfull in doing that. But I should admit that I prefer to see the ceautiful saris as it is probably one of thebest scenes for a foreigner to view, while travelling around with a Rickshaw (Indian taxi with three wheels) or just walking from home to the market to buy some masala=)

It had already been a month since I'm here. The first times were very amazing, you need some time to get used to the kaos in the city especially in the traffic. Also time, to get used to the weird looks of people and to get used to the extreme poverty in some districts and the smell which varies from nice to awful. Especially in the old town which is the most touristic part of the city I had the first fainting smell of my life at the yard of the Mecca Masjid. After being followed from a 9 year old little girl who was trying to sell me some earrings at the Char minar I decided to have a look to the Mecca Mesjid where the foreigners were not allowed any more ( terrorist attack in the early months). So as I stepped in the gate of the Mosque a family wanted to take pictures with me, probably because I was the only tourist there and we took maybe 5-6 pictures first with the sons and daughters than with the parents, grand parents separately and then with the all family. Later on as could finally continue on my way, I had to take out my shoes and as I stepped in the yard near from the pool of the yard I felt something very strange. Not fear not that much of excitement but some amazement maybe I can say. A big amazement which was effecting me because of the aura of the place I guess, then I started taking photographs and chatting with kids again. One of the kids were explaining me how much a fish costed in that pool he said something around 3000 ruppies which is quite much( I guess he was trying to impress me). I even remember his name "Muhammed" such a little cutie=) And as I continued taking pictures then that moment with the horrible smell coming with a lot of peagons towards me. The next thing I remember I was waiting my rickshaw to go back to the ISB with my naked foot.

In the meantime, I was very busy with getting adapted to my new environment here, so of corse I had a lot of memorable moments but so long to write eacn and all of them, as on the top if it I am a horrible writer who gets extremely bored after a few sentences.

But just brief note, I made very good friends with a lot of Indians, two Malaysians and just few days before a Colombian joined our ISB family! I really like this international and cosmopolitan setting, an amazing opportunity to encounter with lots of different cultures that I am curious to get to know about and now it's raining. I really enjoy the monsson here, the voice of the rain coming and hitting my window at the office even though still the sun is shining, is just the way of nature here that creates a rainbow almost every day. There is no doubt that this is the country of the rainbow coloures...
